bulletTWIC (The Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card) Card Requirement Info. By September 2008 all Captains and some mates will need to carry a TWICs Card - Enrollment Centers in Portland and Bangor Maine are scheduled to be in operation sometime between now and this spring. This mandated ID card will cost you $132.00 every five years. It will take two trips to the Enrollment Center of your choice to prove your identity, have an FBI background check done, get fingerprinted and photographed, provide your physical description and have your card activated… Portland, ME  Enrollment Center is located at 235 Oxford St.
